What Does a Foraging & Paint Making Day Include?
-
• Congruence & Conscious Foraging •
See what happens when you compassionately and respectfully learn to harvest pigment from the land around you while standing deeply in your present moment experience. Learn the skill of congruence (your present actions aligned with how you perceive yourself) while relating to the Earth in a way that supports you in turning towards shadow emotions like greed, guilt, shame, and grief. -
• Processing Pigment & Passion
It's in our nature as Huemans to curiously explore and experiment. What happens when that instinct turns towards deconstructing your patterns and parts of your life? Use the process of refining pigment to delve into how you feel transforming something that seems immovable.
This part of the process is particularly impactful for processing anger & rage. -
• Saturate the State-Change•
Saturate yourself in your learnings as you saturate your pigments in medium. Learn tools to self-regulate and integrate your self discoveries as you see the paint making process through to completion. -
• Expand & Express •
Synthesize your learnings & exploration into a visual artwork. In this section of the day, you’ll learn ways to develop your unique visual voice and strengthen your relationship with your sense of self-worth & trust.
Color teaches us how to relate to and remain with ourselves when facing difference. Conscious foraging reveals shadows like grief and guilt hiding inside. Making paint shines a light on the power of transforming things that seem immovable. Working with the Earth reminds us of our place in time, space, & lineage.
If minors are attending, at least one accompanying adult must be present at all times.

Grief Garden Healing Experience
The Grief Garden invites you to embody your grief journey in a deeply personal way. You’ll be guided through a meditative journey to select a plant that reflects your current experience of loss, and led through creative practices to nurture this physical reflection of your healing.
Over time, each plant in your Grief Garden will represent its own season of grief, creating a lasting, symbolic garden that grows alongside you—a reminder that grief may remain, but so does your resilience.
This garden offers a ritualistic space to work with creativity, connection, and compassion as you navigate your evolving landscape of loss.
-
The Grief Garden is a ritual practice I developed to hold the most tender, gut-wrenching seasons of life with grace and support.
In this immersive experience, we’ll design your physical Grief Garden in a meditative and gentle journey. The rest of the day will be shaped to your needs pulling from my wide range of studies and skills.
• My Studies & Skills •
During a season of my own deep grief, I dedicated myself to studying the neuroscience and biology of grieving. I blend these learnings with my study of trauma integration modalities, relational skills, and many different modalities in the healing arts.I’ve been in personal practice with meditation & yoga for over 20 years, including 10 years of teaching. Prior to giving birth, I worked as a massage therapist and ran a school of energy medicine training practitioners in a year-long curriculum I developed to guide students to their most aligned personal offerings.

Grief isn’t isolated to bereavement, it’s a natural, adaptive response to loss.

End of Relationships: Breakups, divorces, or estrangements.
Health Challenges: Chronic illness, disability, or major health diagnoses.
Life Transitions: Moving to a new city, retiring, or becoming an empty nester.
Loss of Identity: Job loss, career changes, or shifts in roles.
Cultural or Collective Grief: Environmental destruction, societal injustices, or communal tragedies.
Missed Opportunities: Unfulfilled dreams, infertility, or life paths not taken.
Disconnection: Alienation from culture, spirituality, or heritage.
Together, we’ll nurture both your grief and growth with deep respect and compassion pulling all of my skills together to design a day unique to your needs.
