How To Transfer a Sketch to a Painting
This mini tutorial is specifically for watercolor painting.
More tips on transferring your sketch:
If you have a watersoluble pencil, use that to make your measurement markings right on your paper.
You can use whatever paper you like to sketch on. I like transfer paper so I can see my under markings and the carbon paper, but printer paper is perfectly sufficient.
You can make your sketch darker after transfer with a water soluble pencil.
Make as detailed of a sketch as you desire having for your piece. Take time at this stage to dial in your vision.
Washi tape is best for holding your sketch in place because it won’t damage your paper.
